Creative Impulse was written for Birte Hilberg by her husband after she was unable to find software to generate the ideas she knew a computer was capable of doing. Creative Impulse brings a new dimension to quilts by adding special mathmaticals effects with a simple click of the button.

This is the initial, basic block made from 4 very simple squares.

The "Horizontal twist" curved effect was applied.

The "Vertical twist" curved effect was applied

Finally, the design was shifted left using the "Move up" effect, and viola.
