To design Butterflies are Free, Melva used EQ2. She has since moved up to Electric Quilt 3.
This quilt has a center medallion block called Dresden Square surrounded by triangle blocks that form a star design and 16 butterfly blocks placed in the four corners of the quilt. This quilt was published in the Spring 1997 issue of Quilt magazine
