About the Author

Marjorie Rhine has been quilting since 1969 when she made her first quilt to take to college. In between school and sports (volleyball, softball and basketball), then work as an Information Technology Professional, Marje continued to find time to quilt. After 22 years Marje left her career as a computer professional and jumped at an opportunity to teach quilting at a local quilt shop. Shortly thereafter she started a pattern design business, Quilt Design Northwest, and now has a catalog of 27 patterns. Marje works with many different quilting techniques and is always looking for innovative methods to apply to her quilting. She is currently working with new techniques for machine applique and continuous line machine quilting. Marje always has more ideas than time.

Marjorie lives with her husband, two dogs and a cat in Damascus, Oregon. She teaches quilting at shops and quilt shows around the Portland, Oregon area.
