About the AuthorTo bring this book to a close, I'd like to share a few personal thoughts on fundraiser quilts specifically, and on quilting in general. I hope you'll find sufficient guidance herein to successfully pursue and complete your fundraising venture. As an avid quilter for many years, the fundraising projects that I have been involved with have allowed me to share my love of art with children, and for that, I'm very thankful. It's easy to understand that working with children is a worthwhile endeavor. What has surprised me is the amount of enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated by the adults who participate. I have made genuine lifelong friends who have given me more in friendship than I believe I've give them in instruction. Since I first published this book and was featured on Simply Quilts, many individuals who have been instrumental in starting successful quilt fundraiser in their schools have contacted me. When I think of the many hundreds of thousands of dollars raised ( and I'm not exaggerating!) and the wonderful relationships formed due to these programs, I'm in absolute awe. What a joy to be part of these efforts that ultimately benefit our children. So after all of this, I challenge you to begin your fundraising quilt project today. Though there will surely be challenges ahead, please know that the rewards will far outweigh any difficulties you make encounter. I wish you much success and happy quilting!
