About the Author

Sharon V. Rotz has been sharing her passion for quilting with students for the past 20 years. She has designed her own pattern line, By Sher, and has authored "Log Cabin Quilts with Attitude," (Krause Publications).

Her prize-winning quilts have been shown in art gallery exhibits as well as national and international quilt shows. As a textile artist, her work has been purchased by medical facilities, museums, and numerous private collectors.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Sharon has worked in the ready-made clothing industry and operated her own business creating custom clothing and furnishings.

The rural life style and the ever-changing seasons of central Wisconsin where she lives, are a constant source of inspiration.

She feels blessed to share her life with her husband, Tom, their two children and spouses and three bubbly grandchildren in a loving circle of family and friends.
