Susan Mark's quilting journey began almost 30 years ago and has continued unabated, with enthusiasm building over the years. Quilts of all shapes, sizes and colors have poured out of her studio, yet the stash of fabric continues to grow! Her interests include quilting history, design and techniques and she has recently begun to work with surface design, dyeing, painting and embellishments. She also writes for several quilt magazines and teaches online at Quilt University. She has exhibited in Canada and the United States and she is available to teach for quilt guilds, shops and conferences.

In 1996 she formed a quilt pattern company, Patchworks Studio with Daphne Greig. They have created dozens of patterns, online quilt series and have coauthored two books, Quilted Havens and Fat Quarter Frenzy, with AQS. They continue to collaborate on many of their designs and publishing work.

Susan lives in Victoria, British Columbia, with her husband, Henry, where they enjoy gardening, hiking and camping

Daphne Greig began sewing as a young girl, making outfits for her dolls. Her first teacher was her mother, an experienced sewer and embroiderer. She continued sewing garments until she discovered quilting in 1984. She began teaching quiltmaking at local quilt shops in 1990. Her work has been exhibited in Canada and the United States and she now travels internationally presenting innovative and entertaining lectures and workshops.

Daphne designs and maintains Patchworks Studio's very active Web sit, including annual online series quilts. She regularly writes articles for several quilting magazines and teaches online at Quilt University.

Daphne continually expands her quilting and fiber art skills by attending workshops and experimenting with new techniques in her home studio in North Saanich, British Columbia.
