About the Authors Cheryl Prater lives in an Atlanta suburb with her husband, Mark, their 13 year-old twin boys, Reese and Connor, and their Champion Dachshund, Trumpet. After many years of acid-free scrapbooking, Cheryl began experimenting with collage and mixed media when her scrapbooks got too fat to close. The format became too restrictive. Her media-mixing reached critical mass after her discovery of Cloth Paper Scissors magazine and the realization she wasn't not alone in her obsession - there was an entire nation of similarly afflicted artsy types! Until someone offers her a TV show making her the Rachael Ray of crafting, Cheryl will continue to work full-time as an executive recruiter while making stuff, writing books and teaching workshops as time allows. Simply put, Debbi Crane is a wife, mom, teacher and art maker. She has been married to her husband, J.R., since 1989 and has 2 teenage daughters, Whitley and Courtney. She is an elementary school art teacher to about 400 students in grades one through five. Most of her waking hours are spent with a substream of art-thoughts running through her brain.
