Author Jane QuinnAbout the Author

Jane Quinn started Quilting in the Country in 1991, fulfilling a lifelong dream to have her own cozy quilt shop where she could give personal attention to every quilt project. At first, Jane offered quilt classes in her home, a two-story farmhouse located three miles outside of Bozeman, Montana, but soon she began selling quilt fabric and the books required for her classes. In the summer of 1996, no longer able to contain the business inside their home, Jane and Bill Quinn renovated the bunkhouse on their century-old farmstead, and the next era of Quilting in the Country began.

In 1998, Quilting in the Country received national recognition as one of the 10 best quilt shops in America. Jane's annual outdoor quilt show, drawing approximately 5,000 visitors from near and far, is a visual and creative treat for those who love to quilt, as well as those who simply appreciate stunning artwork displayed in a beautiful setting.

Jane has designed many of her own unique quilt patterns. She has written a book on hosting quilt retreats and she has also authored four of her own cookbooks: Soup's On, Salad Sampler, Daily Desserts and Cookies to Share with Family and Friends. You are sure to find just the right recipe to warm your heart and soul and maybe connect with a time gone by, through one of Jane's books.

Jane lives with her husband, Bill, as well as three cats, five ducks and assorted sheep in Bozeman, Montana.
