Her graceful designs draw from nature - flowers and fruits - then are surrounded by serpentine swirls and inventive border designs.
Bea shares her precise techniques for hand applique and putting together her designs, tips about quilting these projects and more.

Bea teaches and lectures in the Kansas City area and belongs to several quilt guilds. She also volunteers in the community and at the Johnson County Resource Library. Bea lives in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband, Redding Oglesby.
Bea is the author of several quilt books: Wildflower Album: Applique and Embroidery Patterns, 200; Birds and Flowers Album, 2003 and Butterfly Album, 2004. This is her first Kansas City Star quilt book.
