About the Author

Heidi Pridemore grew up in Rochester, New York and is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in industrial Design. But when Heidi realized quilting had a more personal feel than designing products and packaging, she traded her profession for her hobby. Heidi started The Whimsical Workshop six years ago. Since then, the company has grown into a family business that publishes quilt patterns for quilters of every skill level. Heidi and her company also produce over a hundred quilts a year for various fabric companies. And a number of her designs have been published in popular quilting magazines.

Heidi spends much of her time designing, traveling to trade shows, lecturing, and running quilt workshops. When not called away by her thriving business, Heidi lives in Arizona with her creative partner and husband Matthew and their dog, Cleo.
