Liz's Mercantile by Jodi Barrows is a novel based on an 1856 abandoned military post called Fort Worth. Jodi Barrows has finely stitched each character into the novel. You will fall in love with the Mailly women.

The ten quilts in Liz's Mercantile Pattern Book are based on the novel also entitled Liz's Mercantile. There are nine main characters in the novel and each one has a quilt which the story is built around. Each quilt uses the Square in a Square Technique.
