Liz's Mercantile by Jodi Barrows is a novel based on an 1856 abandoned military post called Fort Worth. Jodi Barrows has finely stitched each character into the novel. You will fall in love with the Mailly women.

Liz's Mercantile is a great pattern book with 12 basket blocks in Abby's Sampler and a total of 10 completed quilt designs.

These traditional quilts are easily constructed by using the Square in a Square technique. Many of the most common triangle units we call options are included with their charts. It is so easy to create these gorgeous designs without ever having to cut or sew a triangle unit. Even the diamond units are in this book.

Liz's Mercantile is the second book in our seriers. Each series consists of the Pattern book, novel, and fabric collection. Our story started in 1856 with our family of women leaving their Riverton home in Louisiana and going west. It continues in an abandoned military post called Fort Worth, Texas.
