The
flowers in her own abundant gardens have always inspired Diana Lampe's embroidery.
Born in country New South Wales, she has a strong interest in flowering plants
and for more than 35 years she has gardened passionately in Canberra while developing
her skills in needlework. In this book, as in each of her previous publications,
her meticulous interpretation of nature's own specimens has been matched uniquely
with a keen awareness of design and colour.
This book has been many years in the making, interrupted and delayed by serious illness, but supported by a loyal band of keen embroideres. The Pansy Group afforded Diana much comfort and friendship and, along with her three adult children enthusiastically kept the project alive.
Diana is offering a proportion of her royalties on this project to the Hematology Research fund at The Canberra Hospital.
