About the Designers
Joyce Mori has authored 15 books and written
over 75 articles on various quilting subjects. She has a line of
stencils with Quilting Stencils International, and her line of Native
American inspired patterns are found at Southwest Decoratives. The
National Quilting Association awarded Joyce a grant to study the
use of Native American designs on quilts. Her quilts have appeared
in many galleries, exhibits and shows, and she teaches at guilds
and conferences throughout the United States.
Joyce has a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.
Her husband is recently retired and they live in central Illinois.
She has one married daughter.
Pat Hill has been quilting for 30 years and
teaching quilting for 20 years. She enjoys giving trunk shows and
lectures at quilt guilds. Her quilts have been published in Quilter's
Newsletter Magazine, NQA Patchwork Patter, British Patchwork
& Quilting and other publications.
Besides quilting, Pat's hobbies include gardening
and training dogs. Now that she is a grandmother, she has slowed
down a bit and only completes about two quilts per month. Her background
experience includes 10 years of teaching high school and five years
of teaching grammar school.
