Earthly Delights, The Perfect Finish by Karen Kay Buckley is full of different types and styles of borders and bindings as well as in depth instructions. She illustrates beautifully all of the different examples presented in the book along with tips on measuring and cutting.

the AuthorKaren began quilting in 1982 through an adult education program. She started by making a king sized bed quilt and was immediately addicted to quilting She made many projects for friends and family and has worked with her local quilt guild, the LeTort Quilters, since they first organized in 1984. In April of 1986. Karen received her first quilting award. J.C. Penney organized a quilt block contest and Karen won first place at the local level, then the regional level, and onto the national level. The block was joined into a quilt along with 15 other blocks and exhibited at the Great American Quilt Show in New York City.
In the fall of 1986 Karen's husband, Joe, was offered a job in the Philadelphia area. To entice Karen to move Joe said, " Why don't you open your own quilt shop?" On November 29, 1986 Karen opened The Country Quilt Shop. The shop was a huge success. Karen began developing her own classes.
She entered her first major quilt competition in the spring of 1991. The "Dragon" quilt received a first place in one show and second place in another show. It was truly the start of Karen designing her own quilts and entering many more shows. Since that first quilt competition Karen's quilts have won many local and national awards including seven Best of Show awards. In the spring of 1992 her first book "From Basics to Binding: A Complete Guide to Making Quilts" was published. She has since published three other books, "Above & Beyond Basics", "Love to Quilt...Bears, Bears, Bears" and " Appliqué Basics: Flower Wreaths". In May of 1992 Karen had her first cover quilt and since that time has had twelve more quilts appear on the covers of major quilting magazines. Karen is very passionate about what she does. She loves designing her quilts and sharing her tips and tricks with all her students.
