About
the AuthorNobuko Nagakubo, a.k.a. SINCO, used to work for Hibiya-Kadan, the best-known gardening company in Tokyo, Japan. She later studied at Blooming Affairs, a florist's in Boston, USA. Upon returning to Japan, she founded NONS TOPIARY. Since then, she has been designing animal-shaped topiaries and holding private exhibitions
When she learned how to make felt with "a magic needle", she had the idea of creating miniature dogs using wool and dog hair. After publishing Fleece Dog in Japan in 2004, she began to use the name SINCO. Now she holds workshops and is very popular with dog lovers in Japan.
Her dog CJ is a petit basset griffon vendeen.
