Log Cabin with a Twist |

Born and raised in the capital city of Switzerland, the medieval town of Bern, Barbara now lives with her husband, Ueli, in Mettmenstetten, a rural village halfway between Zurich and Lucerne. Their two children are grown up and live in other towns in Switzerland.
Log
Cabin with a Twist is Barbara's first book about quiltmaking. She has been making
and showing quilts since she first came to know this artful craft in 1982. At
that time she was living with her family in Raleigh, NC, where her husband worked
for three years on a professional assignment.
After her family's return to Switzerland in 1985, she started teaching various quilting techniques in Swiss quilt guilds and shops. Since 1991 she runs her own annual quilting seminar in the little Swiss town of Unterageri and teaches the Log Cabin with a Twist technique to an international audience with great success. She is also a frequent guest teacher at seminars in other European countries and the USA.
Barbara's work won numerous blue and red ribbons in international competitions. Several articles have been published about her and her work in the local and internations trade press. Her mother tongue is Swiss-German; she is fluent in German and English and understands French.
