About
the Author
Kathleen Tracy, an editor in the publishing industry for over twenty years, began making small quilts in 2000. She soon turned her hobby into a profession with her pattern and kit business, Country Lane Quilts (www.countrylanequilts.com). Kathleen holds a particular interest in antique quilts and the women who made them, and she hopes that her books inspire others to learn more about America's quilting heritage. She lectures to quilt guilds and teaches workshops on small quilts and their historical significance. Kathleen's first book, American Doll Quilts, published in 2004, was a Martingale & Company bestseller. She lives in Deerfield, Illinois, with her husband, two children, and their wheaten terrier.
