• Tuck fabric strips into the special louvered surface to create pleated panels.
• Press to set the pleats or tucks.
• Stabilize with fusible interfacing on the wrong side.
• Tuck trims and beads under the pleated edges for added visual punch. Use the finished pleated panel to embellish your sewing projects with pleated appliqués and insets as well as flirty flounces and ruffles.

About the Author

Pauline Richards is a nationally known sewing teacher and writer. She has been sewing since she was a child and has taught clothing construction on the high school and college levels. Currently she writes and publishes Total Embellishment News, a quarterly newsletter for creative sewing and embellishment enthusiasts. Pauline is known for her innovative techniques, practical advice and ability to convert leftover fabric and trims into spectacular, one-of-a-kind wearables. Pauline is the mother of six children and is a new grandmother. She lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her husband, John, and Powder the family dog.
