About the Author

Ursula Michael's work as a designer began several years ago. Her cross stitch and crochet patterns have enchanted a generation of needlework enthusiasts, while her award winning designs also found their way onto giftware items. And now, Ursula's fans will be delighted to know that she has returned to one of her earliest endeavors - quilting.

This book of applique designs was inspired by Ursula's travels across the United States. She especially loves exploring village streets, back roads, mountains, rivers, and coastal regions. In fact, Ursula and her husband, Al, are now settled into their dream home in Rhode Island, where Ursula is never far from a wide variety of landscapes.
