Cover InformationMarilyn Mansker's love of quilting and paper piecing led her to Easymade Publications in 2003, as a pattern tester, machine quilter, and quilt designer. We thought it was a great idea that she team up with Billie Lauder and co-author a book showcasing the vibrant colors and textures contained in their projects.
Marilyn's love of fabric, thread and the needle started at the very young age of 8 when her mother gave her a child's rotary sewing machine and a friend gave her a bag of fabric scraps. Those scraps started her on a lifelong passion for quilting. Marilyn lives with her husband Del and two spoiled dogs in Myrtle Point, Oregon. Please keep on the lookout for more great designs by Marilyn in the near future. Special thanks to Del Mansker, Marilyn's husband, for his great photographs as seen throughout the book.
Billie has been teaching quiltmaking since 1976. A third generation quilter, she has inherited her love of quilts from her grandmother and mother and has the ability to make quiltmaking easy and understandable for every level of quilter.
Her teaching techniques
and quilts have been featured on several of HGTV's "Simply Quilts".
Billie can be found teaching her various methods around the world for quilt guilds,
shops and cruise lines.
