'Chipped Quilts, A National Quilt Identity System and Registry, helps you 'chip and register your quilts fast and easy. ‘Chipped refers to a microchip no larger than a grain of rice that is implanted in the quilt. 'Chipped Quilts are made possible by microchip technology. Microchips
are tiny, the size of a grain of rice! As such, they are easy to hide
within the layers of your quilt. These tiny chips are encoded with a unique
10 digit number that can be read by a special reader. That number, when
entered into The National Quilt Registry's database, provides positive
identification of the quilt and links it to its rightful owner even if
all other means of identification have been defaced or removed.
