Stash Series is the fabric library CDs by Electric Quilt. Stash is a fabric store right at your finger tips with over 3,000 fabric swatches on each CD from popular fabric manufacturers. It allows you add fabrics to a shopping bag that can be used in Electric Quilt. This is a fast and simple way to bring the latest fabrics to Electric Quilt.

Fabric lines included on Stash

Question: Can Stash fabrics be used in other Quilting software besides Electric Quilt?

Answered by Sharla Hicks: The Stash CDs interface is best suited to be used in conjunction with Electric Quilt but Stash does have the ability to export one fabric at a time as a bitmap. The exported bitmap fabric can be imported into the following software: Bargello Designer, Creative Impulse, PCQuilt, Quilt-Pro, QuiltSOFT, Repligator, and graphic programs like Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw. Each of these programs uses bitmaps as their fabric file or fill format. NOTE: Stash also can help narrow down fabric choices to color and theme included on the CDs making it easier to find the fabric style needed. It also creates printouts of fabric selections that can be taken on a shopping trip. Overall, even though only ONE bitmap file at a time can be exported it is still faster than doing an individual scan each fabric.
